1   General

Construction works for the removal of terrain irregularities in the runway strip.

Piping of the open parts of the watercourse “Steenovengeleed” situated on both sides in the runway strip abeam TWY L.

Construction works will be performed on the following dates:

• 16 and 17 MAY 2024
• from 29 MAY till 13 JUN 2024
• possible from 6 AUG till 15 AUG 2024

Construction works take place from MON to FRI from 0500 till 1600.

There are no restrictions outside these working hours (nights and weekend) and dates.

2   Description

There are 2 separate construction sites without interference with the runway. These are situated in the grass area “North” and grass area “South” of the runway.

The open parts of the watercourse “Steenovengeleed” in the area between 90 M and 150 M from the runway centreline will be removed.

3   Impact on Operations

The length of the runway will be shortened by 250 M so that the construction zone will be located outside the strip.

Consequently, some declared distances will be adjusted during working hours:

The distances for intersection take-off on RWY 08 will also be temporarily 250 M shorter and the displayed distances on the signs at the holding position do not correspond:
